Who Decides Our Future
Understanding the CTA Goal
Our aim is to grow the civic muscle of the community, and grow the basic resources of the community to improve health equity. The goal is to get people with lived experience the opportunities to talk about the real issues they face to the people who have the power to fix those problems.
Access to Transit Solutions
Pathway #1
The Community Transformation Alliance is working to reduce transportation barriers by promoting household voting, providing transit access to polling places, clinics, and grocery stores, and engaging local leaders to expand voting locations and improve election procedures. We also advocate for fair use of public spaces—such as ensuring parking and safe mobility at early voting sites—so every resident can participate fully in civic life.
Advocacy Capacity Building
Pathway #3
The Community Transformation Alliance strengthens advocacy capacity by creating spaces where disenfranchised citizens can share their experiences directly with political candidates and elected officials. Through local forums and communication workshops, we equip community members to engage in meaningful dialogue that fosters accountability and drives policy change.
Transfer Power to
Disenfranchised Voters Through Bidirectional Learning
Pathway #2
The Community Transformation Alliance seeks to empower disenfranchised voters by addressing barriers such as stigma, isolation, and lack of accessible information. Through targeted outreach, education, and age-specific social events, we provide reminders, build confidence, and show how every vote can shape a better present and future.
Community Building Through
Political and Campaign Awareness
Pathway #4
The Community Transformation Alliance builds stronger communities by increasing political and campaign awareness through education, outreach, and access to resources. From conducting needs assessments and advocating for policy changes to creating a central resource hub and voter-friendly website, we make it easier for residents to access information, register, and understand the community benefits of voting.
Get Involved
The Community Transformation Alliance will be conducting a Voter Experience and Research Survey. Participants will be compensated with a $50 gift card upon completing the survey. All participants must have voted in the last Eagle Pass Municipal Election. Only the first 50 eligible attendees will be able to participate in this survey.
